Tour 3: Bright Colors Tour
Duration: 9 days
In short: Tashkent – Chimgan Mountains – Termez – Shahrisabs – Samarkand – Bukhara – Khiva – Tashkent
Day 1: Tashkent
After your arrival you will be transferred to Tashkent, where you will have a city tour. You will visit main attractions of the city. At first it will be the main square of the country, erected as a token of victory in WWII. Then you can wander in the local Broadway, it is the street between independence square and Amir Timur square. Also you will have a chance to ride in the famous metro in Tashkent. It the one of the most wonderful subways in the world and the first line was opened in 1977. Furthermore you will visit the old part of the city which includes: Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex that consists of several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. Themajor attraction of this tour is the Othman Quran which is the world’s oldest Quran copy of 8th c. Quran belonged to Othman Ibn Affan, the Third Caliph. Othman was killed by non-muslims in 8th century. His blood spred over the Quran that you still can see on its pages. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent – Chimgan Mountains – Tashkent
Morning drive to Chimgan Mountains, where you will have chair lift to the top to see Beldersay peak it takes 30 min to do. There you will have free time to walk and spend it to enjoy the beautiful nature. You will relax on the beach of Charvak Lake to enjoy water sports, but it depends on the time of year. Carvak was made by people and it is a famous resort in Uzbekistan and neighboring countries. In the end of the day is return to Tashkent. Night is in a hotel.
Day 3: Tashkent – Termez
Toady you will have flight to the one of the ancient cities of Central Asia – Termez. This city is one of those that have developed throughout history in different places of the modern city, reflecting the numerous cultural layers depicted in the remains of historical places. But the practically entire cultural heritage that developed here was destroyed by Genghis Khan in 1220. And new city was built in the east of the old town. You will visit such wonderful sights as: Archeological museum, Fayaztepa, Mausoleum of Hakim at Termezi, Buddhist Stupa Zurmala, Mausoleum Sultan Saodat, Honako Kokaldor Ota, Nunnery Kirk Kiz, Jarkurgan's Minaret, Dalverzintepa archeological dig.But you need to pay attention that some sights might be closed due to military trainings. At the end of excursion is transfer to hotel. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 4: Termez – Shahrisabs – Samarkand
Today your destination is the place where Amir Timur was born - Shahrisabs. There you will have tour to see attraction. At first you will visit the main sight of this city that was built by Amir Timur - Ak Saray Palace. This palace will amaze you by its majestic beauty and great. On the main gate there is inscription: "If you want to know about our power, look at our buildings". After it going to Jahongir mausoleum, that was erected to the eldest son of Amir Timur, who died in battle when he was twenty years old. It says that Amir Timur had a deep sorrow for the death of his son. The final sites to see in Shahrisabs are memorial complexes where all descendants and relatives of Amir Timur were buried – the Dorus Siadat and Dorus Tillavat. After excursion, you will continue the drive to Samarkand. Overnight is in a hotel.
Day 5: Samarkand – Bukhara
Samarkand is the second largest city of Uzbekistan that is located in the valley of the river Zerafshan. Samarkand is considered as old as the cities of Babylon or Rome. And today you will see it’s the most famous and popular places: Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square consists of three impressive madrassas of the 15-17th century. These buildings are the main attraction of Samarkand; no one can stop admiring them. Furthermore you will see huge collection of mausoleums - Shakhi-Zindeh. This complex of 11th-15 centuries and also it is a part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then goes Bibi Khanum Mosque that Tamerlane built to his favorite wife after his victory in India. Overnight is at the hotel. Returning back in evening and night is in a hotel.
Day 6: Bukhara
Bukhara is you destination is today and you will have a city tour here. At first you will visit the oldest citadel in Bukhara - Citadel Ark. It was used as palace for some dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Then goes architecture masterwork of 9th -10th century - Samanids mausoleum. After it you will see Chashma Ayubwith the meaning job's well, and Bolo-Hauz mosque, known also as the mosque of forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. Also you will have a chance to walk through the shopping domes, visit one of the most wonderful madrasahs of Bukhara - Nodir Divan Begi, which is also a part of Lyabi House Ensemble. It is famous central sightseeing of the city. The last sight for today is Poi Kalon complex the exceptional example of architectural art of Bukhara. It consists of three structures built in the 12th - 16th centuries: Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Night is in a hotel.
Day 7: Bukhara – Khiva
Morning drive to Khiva, it is the oldest city in Uzbekistan. Here you can find not only historical but very enchanting sights. The history of this city closely connected to the legendary Khorezmshah’s State with its capital in Urgench before. It is considered to be the main trading center on the Silk Road in 10th century. All the caravans had a stop here on their way to China and back. There was an endless stream of caravan. Most of this city was saved and passed through generation. You will pass the Kizilkum desert that lays from Bukhara to Khiva. On the way we will enjoy the view to Amu Darya river, the deepest river in Central Asia, made by the merge of the Panj and Vakhsh in Tajikistan. The rivers flow into Aral See. After arrival in Khiva you will have free time. Night is in a hotel.
Day 8: Khiva – Tashkent
Today you will visit the most interesting sight of Uzbekistan. It will be in Ichan-Qala – inner city of it has strengthened walls. Here you can see many centuries’ old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses transformed Ichan-Qala into unique city-monument. Ichan-Qala consists of over 400 traditional houses and about 60 architectural monuments. In 1969 Ichan-Qala started to be historical and architectural conservation area. And the most important sight here is Kunya-Ark fortress of 17th century found by Muhammad Arang Khan, Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace, an incredible example of Khorezm architectural mastership of 1830s. Evening flight to Tashkent. Night is in a hotel.
Day 9: Tashkent – Flight
