Tour 4: Tashkent –Samarkand tour
Duration: 5 days
In short: Tashkent – Samarkand – Tashkent – Chimgan Mountains – Tashkent
Day 1: Tashkent
The entire day will be full of amazing sightseeing tour in Tashkent. You will start excursion from Independent Square, constructed for the glory of the victory over fascist Germany in World War II. Then local Braodway will provide a good walking area to Amir Timur square. Later you will have an opportunity to ride on the Beautiful Tashkent subway. The first line started in 1977. The old part of the city will charm you most: famous Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex. Hast Imam includes several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleums. The high spot of the day will be Othman Quran, where the most ancient copy of the Quran, dated back to 8th century. Othman Inb Affan, who was one of the four Caliphs, came after prophet Muhammad, was an owner of this book. In 8th century, his enemy murdered him. You can see his blood spread over the paper of the book. Overnight will be at a hotel.
Day 2: Tashkent – Samarkand (350 km, 4 hrs drive)
Today you will travel to mysterious city Samarkand. Samarkand is one of the oldest city, coeval with Babylon and Rome and the second biggest city in whole Uzbekistan. The most attractive places of Samarkand are Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. You will start Registan square, which attracts millions of people with its three mesmerizing Madrasahs. These masterpieces of 15-17th centuries make everyone to admire its glorious beauty. Another outstanding architectural complex is Shakhi-Zindeh, which is on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site. It includes the largest number of mausoleums going back to 11-15th centuries. Next site is Bibi Khanum Mosque, it was constructed for the glory of Tamerlane’s wife, following his prosperous fight to India. Stay is in a hotel.
Day 3: Samarkand – Tashkent (350 km, 4 hrs drive)
After breakfast, you will carry on your tours travelling in Samarkand city. Ulughbek observatory is one of the sites of city, famous in Uzbekistan. The 15th century leader and scientist Ulughbek constructed this site. He worked in his observatory and wrote “Zidji Guragoni” catalog in 1437, where he tells more about 1018 celestial bodies. Unluckily, his own son ordered to murder him. Following the observatory, you will explore the lively part of the city - the Broadway is full of colorful and authentic workshops, teahouses, souvenir shops and sweets. Later you will visit oriental bazaar Siab, where you can buy crafts and other unique items. Return to Tashkent and night in a hotel.
Day 4: Tashkent – Chimgan Mountains – Tashkent
Today is devoted for the nature rest in Chimgan Mountains to continue your travelling. After arrival, you will take 30-munite chair lift to get to the top of Beldersay Peak. There you can have free time to take a walk or just enjoy the beauty. En route to Tashkent, we will take another break at Charvak Lake. Here you can spend time doing some activities on the water (seasonally). Charvak is human-made lake. It is the most popular destination for holiday among people of Tashkent region and sometimes, neighboring countries also visit the lake. Return to Tashkent and rest in a city hotel.
Day 5: Tashkent – Flight
After having breakfast, your driver will transfer you to the airport for next adventures.End of tour in Uzbekistan.
