Tour 3: Exclusive Tour
Duration: 9 days
In short: Ashgabat – Old Nisa – Gypchak – Ashgabat – Darwaza – Kunya Urgench – Dashoguz – Damla – Mary – Margush – Merv – Mary – Ashgabat
Day 1: Ashgabat – Old Nisa – Gypchak – Ashgabat
Our local guide will gladly meet you in the Ashgabat International Airport for the guests to be transferred to the hotel. There will be organized breakfast. Today there will be a city-tour of the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat. In the city there is a site of the UNESCO heritage known as the Old Nisa. Right here everyone can make a view of remains of the Parthian Empire. Approximately, the remains take a history of the III millennium BC - III millennium AD. Also, the following sites are recommended to be visited – the mosque and the mausoleum of president in Gypjak. The night will be organized in the hotel.
Day 2: Ashgabat – Darwaza
This day will be going along significant sightseeing, along the mosque “Seyitjemaleddin”. The lunch will be in the local restaurant of the city. After it, at 15:00 the group drives to the northern parts of the country in order to see the village “Bahardok”. Here you can get acquainted with the local people, and listen to their talks of the life of the Turkmen people. The Darwaza Gas Crater is a famous site of interest, as there is no any other site of such kind. Then there will be a picnic and the night in the tent.
Day 3: Darwaza – Kunya Urgench – Dashoguz
Today the tour starts from the breakfast and then everyone is going to take a way to the following sites – Old Urgench, Capital of Khorezm, the Mausoleum of Najm al-Din al-Kubra, Tyurabek Khanum, Il-Arslan, Tekesh Ibn Hadzhibey, the highest minaret in Central Asia KutlygTimur. Then there will be the night in the hotel.
Day 4: Dashoguz – Damla
The guests are going to have breakfast at 09:00 a.m. and then take a way to Damla. It is the place of the location of Karakum desert. The village is known for traditions and customs of the people of Turkmenistan to live. This village is a perfect place for all who wish to see the greatness of the local life and traditions still existing since the ancient times. The territory is located in the east and opens us the opportunities to see sandy dunes. And Damla is the right place for all to visit as they travel in the country. There is a city near it, Bekuri. Here everyone can notes camels being used as the animals to carry all needed. The main fascination of the place is seen in its isolation from the other sites, here it is possible to immerse in history and feel the greatness of the country. The night is organized in the tents.
Day 5: Damla – Mary – Margush
Today there will be a breakfast of the traditional style of the Turkmen people. Then at 07:00 the group makes a way to the Mary City for all to be the part of the excursion to Margush- Gonurdepe. There is also the Margush Oasis which is estimated to be the 5th of the entire civilization. The site Margush is identified as the “lowland” being first investigated properly by Viktor Sarianidi, the head of the Margiana Archeological Expedition. All along the territory there can be found the monuments to the Bronze Age. The Margiana sites are connected with those at the territory of the present Afghanistan. It used to be the civilizations of the ancient times. The night is organized in the tents.
Day 6: Margush – Merv – Mary
The day starts with a breakfast and then continues with the excursion at the territory of the Old Merv. This site is located right at the Great Silk Road. It used to be the greatest city of the ancient times. With this trip everyone is going to see the greatness of the following places – Gyz Gala, Erk Gala, Soltan Gala, Sanjar Mausoleum, IbnZeid Mausoleum. Then there will be a way to the Mary city. The night is booked in the hotel.
Day 7: Mary – Turkmenabad – Dayahatyn – Mary
The next day starts with breakfast and check out of the hotel, as today we start for the Turkmenabat city. Being in a trip here the guests are going to have lunch in the local restaurant and then the way to the Dayahatyn caravanserai. It is known to be the site of the medieval times. It is located at the banks of the Amu Darya River. It surrounds the Turkmenabat, Lebap Wilayah, also it is the border of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Long time ago, in the past it used to be the fortress created in the 9th century, but in the 11th century it had undergone various transformations, making the shelter for the people going along the Great Silk Road. The Dayahatyn caravanserai is popular for unique style of the architecture. The day ends with coming back to Mary city and night in the hotel.
Day 8: Mary – Ashgabat
This is the last active day in the country of contrasts. Today we take the group to Ashgabat City after breakfast. On coming to the city there will be the lunch and then there follows the excursion in the National Historical museum, Gokdepe Mosque and Russian Bazaar. All of these places are very popular among the boarders and bear the great significance for the people of the country. The night is going to be organized in the hotel.
Day 9: Flight
Today the guests are going to be taken to the International Airport of Ashgabat in order to return back home.
