Tour 3: Pamir exploring Tour
Duration: 11 days
In short: Dushanbe – Kalai Khum – Khorog – Langar – Yashil Kul Lake – Bulunkul Lake – Murgab – Khorog – Kalai Khum – – Norak – Dushanbe – Iskanderkul – Dushanbe
Day 1: Dushanbe
The day starts with your meeting at the airport of Dushanbe. Today the guests have an opportunity to get to know the history of Tajikistan and all of the sites of great interest as Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. The photo tour will be also going along the places as Ministry of Inner Affairs, the flag, the pole of which is about 165 m high, 30 m wide, 60 m long. Then everyone will be able to witness the Gurminj Museum. We are happy to let you see the traditional instruments. Along with this place we offer to visit the Asian bazaar. The day ends with the night spent in the hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe – Khoburubot – Kalai Khum
Dear clients, our company is ready to organize a trip which you can travel and visit the famous Khoburubot Pass. It is mostly famous for the height of 3252 m above sea level. The people call it the Western Pamir Tract. Those who take a route here are mostly fond of natural landscapes around the pass. Here all of the guests can make gripping photos against breath-taking views. This route is devoted to the opportunity to communicate with extremely hard-working people, the Tajiks. They are always glad to get acquainted with the guests, to tell their customs and traditions and of course to show the very essence of the nation. The night will be booked in the hotel.
Day 3: Kalai Khum – Khorog
This day is devoted to the investigation of the city Khorog. It is surrounded by the mountains and one of the smallest sites but so intriguing. Being in a tour here it is possible to witness that the city was created on the junction of the rivers – Shokhdara river and Ghund river flow into Pyanj river. Here it is possible to communicate with the people of Pamir. They are living apart from the Tajik people, but still stand to be rather hospitable and friendly ones. The people of such kind are peculiar for being the ones with blond hair, blue eyes. The Pamir Mountains are considered to be the highest ones where the people live, on the first place the Himalayas in Tibet. The night will be organized in the boarding house.
Day 4: Khorog – Langar
The fourth day of the trip is going near the Tajik-Afgan border as we need to get the village Langar. Talking about the Pamir mountains they are said to be the tops of the sky, with the snow glittering and the lakes with rivers being in the very hidden sites of the high altitudes. This place was named as “the Roof of the World” where lots of people could find the harmony and sense of life. The mountains are located at the heights of 3 500 to 4 200 m above sea level. This is one of the places where we still can witness the cultural ideas and ethnic peculiarities. And still there are people living there in the mountains, being separated from the main population. The night will be in a homestay, where all of the differences in languages and cultures, traditions and customs can be investigated.
Day 5: Langar – Yashil Kul Lake – Bulunkul Lake – Murgab
Today we are going to drive the Murghab, passing the Naizatash pass. This is one of the popular sites for all wishing to make a trip in Tajikistan. Being at the height of 4137m above sea level it is possible to see the Roof of the World. The local people consider it is of great importance to visit and see it. The Murgab is identified with lots of rocks and peaks on it. The altitude here is 6000m above sea level. The climate of the heights is rather severe. The reason is seen in the great heights as with every new altitude it becomes colder and colder. Even in the summer the temperatures are low and uniqueness of the place is seen in it. The night will be in the boarding house.
Day 6: Murgab – Yashil Kul Lake – Bulunkul Lake – Khorog
Today the guests are going to visit the lakes of these altitudes. First we would like to show the Yashil Kul and Bulunkul. In translation, Yashil Kul means “the green lake” and Bulunkul “blue lakes”. The group is going to see them at the height of 3700m above sea level. The name of the second mentioned lake is probably identified by the color of the waters of it, being violet and blue, dark-blue. The lake is full of fish. Being in a tour here it is possible to witness the animals like yaks, cow and sheep. Then we pass the Naizatash pass, Pamir Highway (M41 Pamir Tract) and get to the last destination of the day, Khorog. The boardinghouse will be reserved for spending the night.
Day 7: Khorog – Kalai Khum
Our team is ready to take you to Kalai Khum. The entire area is located at the height of 6000m above sea level with the only road being built. The territory is of the amazing views, making the people to wonder the beauties. What should be seen? Of course the surroundings, the history of the sites and the people. All of the dwellers are glad to tell the peculiar facts which can interest you. The site is also famous for the other side to be the location of the Afgan stony villages and gardens. After all of the sightseeing of the day have been seen, the night will be organized in the hotel.
Day 8: Kalai Khum – Norak – Dushanbe
The guests are going to see the beauties of the Shuraba pass. It is at the height of 2267m above sea level. It is considered to be the territory of the Pamir Mountains. These sites were investigated by lots of being when they were in Tajikistan. For example, Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar used to wander here. During the route you are going to see the border Pyanj River. The people call the Pamirs as the mountains which touch the sky. Then we get to the Norak water reservoir, investigate it and return to Dushanbe. The night will be in the hotel.
Day 9: Dushanbe – Iskanderkul Lake
After the night in the hotel all of the members of the group are driving to Iskanderkul Lake, of 2225m above sea level. Being here everyone can notice that the territory of the high mountains is very picturesque and spellbinding. We pass the Anzob pass, get to the height of 3372m above sea level and get to the amazing waterfall. During the trip everyone will get the information about the country to be one with the great amount of water resources in all of the CIS countries. The night will be organized in the boarding house.
Day 10: Iskanderkul – Dushanbe
Right from the lake we are driving back to the capital of the country with an aim to visit the Central Museum. The guests have an opportunity to witness the history and the past heritage of the Tajik people, with further sightseeing trip near the museum. It is right in the center of the park where everyone can still witness the art of 22 galleries. Then the group gets to see the replica of the Buddha monument. The night is booked in the hotel.
Day 11: Dushanbe – Airport
