Weather

Hello! Let's talk about the weather in Kyrgyzstan. Probably each of us is interested in knowing what kind of weather is waiting for him upon travelling in Kyrgyzstan. After all, the right choice of clothing for travel makes a lot of sense. Of course, nature does not have bad weather, but still it is important for us to know what we need to prepare for.
So, the climate of Kyrgyzstan is continental, dry due to remoteness from the seas and oceans, just like the mountains are located almost in the center of the continent. The reason for this is the dry air over the entire territory of the country, due to which there is an average of 247 sunny days per year.
Normally, the temperature in Kyrgyzstan is very different, for example, in summer the Ferghana Valley reaches almost 30 degrees Celsius, but in valleys located high in the mountains, the average temperature is around -30 degrees in winter. The most optimal temperature without sharp contrasts near Issyk-Kul Lake where comfortable indicators are awake for a whole year, from zero temperature in winter to plus 18-25 degrees in summer.
Speaking of precipitation, they are also unvarying and the indicators vary greatly. If the high slopes get an annual norm of a couple of thousand mm, then Issyk-Kul can boast only a hundred.
Kyrgyzstan is one of the sunniest countries in the world, but even here there are some valleys in which clouds almost constantly drag the sky. Guests can fully enjoy the sun during a tour in Kyrgyzstan. It is cloudy here only in winter and in the first spring days. Snow in the high mountains lies year-round, and in winter on the slopes the thickness can reach a meter, because the main amount of precipitation falls just in the fall and winter.
September can be considered the most comfortable month for visiting Kyrgyzstan, when the gentle autumn sun is not so hot. The purpose of travelling in Kyrgyzstan affects the choice of the most favorable periods of the year. You can go for a walk along the high mountain pastures from May until mid-autumn, but hiking and horseback riding are best done in the southern part of the country from May to October, and in the northern part from April. If you are going to conquer the mountain peaks, then this leisure is available all year round, but it is worth climbing to the highest peaks in the summer.
