Let me introduce myself. My name is Gulzina. My city is Bishkek. I grew up and studied in this city.
I have many interesting hobbies, for example, dancing traditional folk dances, walking around, taking pictures and decorating clothes. These are my main hobbies to which I pay maximum attention.

Tour 3: Glorified Tour
Duration: 6 days
In short: Almaty – Shymkent – Turkestan – Issyk – Charyn – Almaty

Day 1: Almaty – Shymkent
You will be transferred from the airport and drive to Shymkent. You will have city tour for 4 hours. The city is located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road. There are the most ancient cities of the Middle Ages as Otar, Turkestan, Syganak, Sauran and others. You will be impressed by modern Shymkent city and walk along wide business streets. Visit Memory Alley in Park named after Sh. Kaldayakov, Monument “Jer An”, Ordabasy Square, Park “20th Anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, Museum of political repression victims, Obelisk of Glory, Walk of Fame, Eternal Fire to the fallen in the Second World War, Arboretum as well as the regional historical museum of local lore. We are sure you will like it!

Day 2: Shymkent – Turkestan – Shymkent
Today you will travel to Turkestan. This ancient city was founded around 500 AD at the crossroads of caravan routes from Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva to northern Kazakhstan. The city is famous for the spiritual and political center of the Turkic-speaking people in the XVI-XVIII centuries. Before it was the capital of the Kazakh Khanate. Turkestan got the international reputation due to proselytization activity of the famous Sufi sheikh and philosopher Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. He was buried in a small mausoleum here in 1166. The mausoleum was erected after 233 years after his death by the order of a remaining military leader Emir Tamerlane. Nowadays it is considered to be the masterpiece of medieval architecture as well as of worship for Muslims. According to legend, it was devastated by the big storm and some people think that it was a green bull who came and destroyed everything. Another source said that, Tamerlan saw a dream where saint came to him and said to build a mausoleum over the grave of Arystan Bab (teacher and spiritual mentor of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi), and then over the tomb of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi. There are a lot of pilgrims visit the mausoleum of Arystan Bab, and then Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi as a small Hajj to Mecca. In addition you can visit "Azret-Sultan" historical and architectural complex, Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi, Turkestan ancient settlement, Necropolis, Hammam, Hilvet underground mosque. We are sure you will like it. Afterwards is transfer to the hotel

Day 3: Shymkent – Almaty
You will be transfeered from the airport to Almaty. Today you will have a grand tour for 5-6 hours. You will visit the central part of Almaty and learn more about the Southern capital of Kazakhstan.  We would like you to visit the Green Bazaar. It is the famous bazaar famous for its various goods and sweets. It is rather crown but worth visiting! You can even bargain there! Then you can visit Panfilov Park and Zenkov Cathedral. The next destination is the Memorial of Glory and Eternal Flame which is dedicated to the memory of the fighters who died for freedom and independence of the country. The tour will go on and visit the Medeo Gorge. You will be amazed by the highest mountain skating rink and enjoy your holidays! Afterwards you will have an idea of visiting the famous Kok-Tobe hill! There is the tallest TV tower in the world. In Kok-Tobe Park you will have the opportunity to see the city from all four wings and end the day with shopping as well as the short ride from the top of the hill to the center of the city by the famous Almaty cableway. Further is transfer to hotel.

Day 4: Almaty – Issyk
Today you will travel to the most beautiful gorges of Trans-Ili Alatau − Issyk Gorge (7 hours). It is situated along the Kuldja tract. You will be told more about its history. Also you can find the burial mounds of Saka period, where the famous "Golden Man" was found, and then it became the state symbol of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Visit the State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve “ISSYK”. You will find there a copy of Golden Man and golden items, ancient ceramics, weapon, elements of horse equipment, as well as the model of Saka burial mound. After that you will drive to an altitude of 1756 meters above sea level and the beautiful mountain lake Issyk. The lake was formed about 10,000 years ago because of landslide of 300 meters in height. We have no doubt you will enjoy the beauty of magic lake and take a lot of photos. In addition you will be told about the natural disaster happened in 1963. Afterwards is transfer to hotel.

Day 5: Almaty – Charyn – Almaty
The day will start by driving to Charyn Canyon on a comfortable car or minivan. You will be provided with bottled water. You can bring your personal snack, tea or coffee in a container with a lid on it.
You will reach to canyon in 4 hours. On the way you will be told about facts, the history, and nature of the region, Kazakh people, style of life as well as traditions. In addition you can visit the local museum of traditional decorative and applied arts and crafts. Don’t miss to take photos and get inspiration of it.
On arrival to Charyn Canyon, you will be amazed by grand panorama and go down stairs to the bottom of the canyon, then walk around 2 km through the maze of the Castles Valley. We are sure you will like it. The fresh air as well as cold Charyn River won’t leave anyone indifferent!  You will find eco-park with several yurts (traditional dwellings) and a small open air café which works only in summer. Your tour will be breathtaking and unforgettable! You will love all panorama views and remember for a long time!
