ABOUT ME

Hi, friends!

My name is Cholpon. I grew up in a small town of Naryn in the south-eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. From the early ages my passion was to travel and discover new places. I enjoyed showing around to my friends and teachers who came from abroad to teach English. Further I entered the University to study linguistics but to connect my life with tourism it was not enough. Therefore I went through special courses of guiding by local mentors in Bishkek who run tourist agencies. This is how I got involved into this world of adventures and new experiences.

Kirsten Koza Feedback

Kirsten:
Cholpon was my cultural guide for several weeks in Kyrgyzstan. I can honestly say she was one of the best cultural guides I've ever had in my travels around the world to date because she was so incredibly open and honest about the Kyrgyz culture. She didn't just teach me about the history (which she's very very knowledgeable about) but she also taught me about how nomads fit or don't fit into today's society -- she was open in explaining about bride kidnapping (which even happened to a family member of hers) and wedding rituals, religion and education, and topics that many would have shied from. Her family still live with the old traditions which she was happy to share - even when she knew they'd make a foreigner's eyes pop out of their head.
We travelled the silk road, camped, visited historical and cultural sites, we stayed with nomads and laughed after the misadventures that Kyrgyzstan threw our way.

Sirhan:
Me and my family travelled in Kyrgyzstan last autumn. It was amazing! Organization was on high level. We really enjoyed nature. Sometimes we had some issues about weather and roads. It was raining and roads are really dirt in some areas. It is okay. We liked Issyk Kul Lake very much! Very beautiful lake! We also spent great time on relaxing on warm sandy beaches. Talking about accommodation, it was poor in some places, especially in remote villages, but food was tasty. We liked national cuisine! In general we are satisfied!

Hi. I saw so many things, I really liked everything on this tour. The guide took us through a winding, very interesting route. I listened to the guide, admired the view, trying to remember the details.
