Cholpon
Hi, friends!
My name is Cholpon. I grew up in a small town of Naryn in the south-eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. From the early ages my passion was to travel and discover new places. I enjoyed showing around to my friends and teachers who came from abroad to teach English. Further I entered the University to study linguistics but to connect my life with tourism it was not enough. Therefore I went through special courses of guiding by local mentors in Bishkek who run tourist agencies. This is how I got involved into this world of adventures and new experiences.

Hi,
Today we will learn how to make the main Kyrgyz bread – boorsoks. Usually boorsoks are served in a large quantity at the festive table. This is one of the main attributes of Kyrgyz celebration.
The ingredients for boorsoks are very simple. You will need flour, butter, some salt and dry east. First, we have to knead the dough, cover and leave it for 2-3 hours. Then roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut into small pieces with a sharp knife. After it we fry these slices in a cauldron with boiling sunflower oil. During frying, the boorsoks must be stirred with a colander. When they are fried until golden brown, boorsoks are ready!
Usually boorsoks are served with hot tea and jam. Bon Appetit!
