Tour 2: Magic land
Duration: 7 days
In short: Bishkek – Kyzyl Oi – Son Kul – Tash Rabat – Kochkor – Issyk Kul southern shore –Karakol – Bishkek
Day 1: Bishkek – Kyzyl Oi
Driver will take to from Manas International Airport to Bishkek the road will take 30 minutes. The tour will start in Bishkek city and you will visit Pobeda Square (Victory Square), Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Central Ala-Too Square, Old Square, National Philharmonic, and many others places of interest. Kyzyl Oi village is the next place of destination. The tour goes through the southern part of Kyrgyzstan. On the tour be prepared for breathtaking views of highly mountains and unique gorges. You are going to see the remarkable part of your tour in Kyrgyzstan – the panoramic view of Tue Ashuu, which altitude is 3000 meter high. It’s the most impressive road in Kyrgyzstan and you will have chances for photo stop during your travel here. Overnight is in a home stay.
Day 2: Kyzyl Oi – Son Kul
Son Kul Lake is the next stop in your trip. The second largest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan is situated in Naryn region with altitude 3016 meters above the sea level. Kyrgyz nomads who wanted rest and relaxation started to go here because of the beauty of this place. This lake is surrounded by mountains and herders started to use it as a pastureland. Also you be free to study the way of living nomad people and the pristine nature of this attractive lake. You will sleep in the yurts. Yurts are nomadic dwellings that covered with felt.
Day 3: Son Kul – Tash Rabat
You will go to the Tash Rabat after your horse riding in the peaceful and calm Son Kul Lake. Don’t forget to share culture and traditions with local people. Tash Rabat Caravanserai is Stone Castle from the 14th century that situated on the Great Silk Road at the very heart of Tian Shan Mountains. The tours here are very interesting because of the uniqueness of this place and not just in its position. It was built of stone blocks inside a mountain at an elevation of 3200 m above sea level. There are 31 rooms in the mountain and walls are 1 m thick. And one more interesting thing here is the underground prison cells formerly used to incarcerate thieves in ancient times. Tash Rabat Caravanserai has yurts near it and you will sleep there.
Day 4: Tash Rabat – Kochkor
The road will lead to fascinating gorge and through the mountain pass that is 3 000 meters high to the Kochkor village. There you will spend time by making national felt carpets that a family will show you how to do. You are going to visit a small handicraft museum there. Where you will see a lot of things such as silver decorations, coats made of wolfs, horse saddle decorations, carpets and many other things. The night you will spend in a home stay.
Day 5: Kochkor – Issyk Kul southern shore – Skazka – Karakol
Today you will be seeing “the pearl of Central Asia” – Issyk Kul Lake, the second largest alpine lake in the world. For more than 1 500 years local people used to think that Issyk – Kul is a sacred lake. Tourists prefer tours in Kyrgyzstan because they want to see the beauty of lakes. Skazka (Fairy Tale) Canyon is situated on the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul near the village Tosor. Skazka is a unique and interesting place where the red sand takes divers forms. In Bokonbaeva village we will visit a local eagle-hunter that using the eagles to hares and foxes. It’s a traditional way of nomads hunting. On your way to Karakol town will be stop to see well- known landmark Jeti Oguz and the Broken Heart Mountain. Guesthouse is a place for sleep.
Day 6: Karakol – Issyk Kul northern shore – Bishkek
Your journey is continuing in the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake to Bishkek city. You are going to see whole lake and even see a panorama view of it. In this place people were thinking that it was the center of the world. Also you are going to see petroglyphs that were made by shamans 2 000 years ago and dated back to 800 B.C. The night is you will spend in a hotel.
Day 7: Bishkek – Airport
