The yurt

The Yurt Kyrgyzstan tours

Our own selves are always looking for the chances to tell more about the national and truly nomadic Kyrgyz dwelling, which traces back for a good sort of time. This dwelling is known as “yurt” and still can be met in our modern world.

The yurt bears a great meaning and significance for the Kyrgyz people, as they try not to forget but to commemorate it as possible as they can. So, let’s get into details. The yurt is made out of wood as the carcass. The wood for it is cut in autumn and winter, and then goes the special treatment for it to become stronger. The covering for the dwelling is natural – sheep’s wool, of grey and beige color. And of course the yurt is not the yurt without decorations made by skillful hand makers. Decorations are shown on the outer side of the yurt, as well as inside it – various patterns depicting the life of the people.

Basically it was created for the people to be able to pass distant territories easier. Now it is achievable with the car rent Kyrgyzstan service, not like those times. That is why the yurt is portable and can be taken apart and together within certain amount of time. The meaning traces back to the Turkic language – the people, the homeland and of course the nation. An interesting fact is seen in the division of the dwelling – the Turkic and the Mongolian. The difference is seen in the shape. The first one needs a support post while the second one doesn’t. At the same time, the Turkic yurt is spread in Central Asia and Siberia, as the people led nomadic and semi-nomadic way of life. But the Mongolian one is mostly famous in Mongolia, Tuva, Buryatia, Kalmykia and Tibet.

When boarders, who managed to rent a car, find themselves in the yurt, they should know certain rules existing. In this case we mean that being inside it is necessary to follow the rules of the hosts. But, generally, the right side of the dwelling is “women’s” one, where they are doing their house-keeping. The left side is “men’s” one with all of the horse and hunting accessories. The front side is “guest’s” one. Moreover, the usage of the yurt depended on the financial situation of the family of those times. The wealthy Kyrgyz had the main yurt, the guest yurt. Also, such people could afford to put the wedding yurt on the case if their daughter was getting married.

We have found out an awesome fact about how to behave in the yurt. The main rule is that the guest can’t enter it with a lash or muzzleful. And for sure, having entered it everybody must try the food offered. Being inside it is necessary to sit not finding support with the back, as it identifies a sick one.

In our modern world it is still possible to meet nomads living in the yurts. They can be met high in the mountains. Such people tend to breed the cattle, and get from one place to the other with their round yurt. The shape symbolizes peace and surely the idea of standing against strong wind without any problems. Turning to our team of Kyrgyzstan rent cars can guarantee the acquaintance with the local people of the Kyrgyz nation, who live in the yurts and are always glad to show their hospitality and respect. It means the nomads will be extremely happy to share their emotions and tell the vacationers details of their history and the history of the country.
