Clothes

The population in Kyrgyzstan prefers comfortable clothing.
In the summer on streets of Bishkek city during your tour you will notice at once that people prefer to wear jeans, pencil skirt, jeggings, leggings and shorts upward put on t-shirts, undershirts, crop tops, also neat sarafans or skirts. In summer it is possible to see a diverse style not only at representatives of beautiful ladies. Men prefer to wear jeans, knickerbockers, or short. On upward they are put on t – shirts or shirts.
Depending on the weather, population dresses warmer. For example, in winter girls wear insulated jeans or trousers upstairs a jacket, sweater, cardigan or diver. And jackets are natural with boots. And men wear T- shirts, sweaters, hoody, jersey or jumper. And for the outerwear they prefer: coat, down-padded coat, faux fur coat.
In the mountains it will be better to take with you warm clothes. The temperature in the mountains is colder than in the cities. Even in summer to take outerwear such as: raincoat, windcheater, bomber jacket, leather jacket, duffle coat and hat or cap it’s a need.  Also its forbidden to travel in the mountains alone.
You can wear clothes that you like because there is no ban on wearing open clothes, but it is still worth showing to the local culture while travelling in southern Kyrgyzstan and in rural areas, you should know that people there are conservative and to dress more closed. Girls should close shoulders, thighs and cleavage. But in the northern part of Kyrgyzstan open clothes treat liberally and it is possible to wear open clothes. And yet even here at the entrance to the mosque or church you should cover head with a handkerchief and wearing to the knee length.
