Tour 7: Kalai Khum Tour
Duration: 4 days
In short: Dushanbe – Norak – Kalai Khum – Khoburubot – Dushanbe
Day 1: Dushanbe
Upon arrival, your driver will wait you at the airport and take you to capital city of Tajikistan. City tour will start from architectural monuments of the city: House of Parliament, National library, White House, National State Seal, and Rudake Park. Then you will have a chance to see the largest National Flag of the world, reaching 165 meters heigh pole, 60 meters in width and 30 meters in length. After the Ministry of Internal Affairs, there will be informative excursion at Central Museum. Lunch at the local restaurant. Afternoon, you will learn many interesting facts about traditional musical instruments in Gurminj Museum. The last attractive place is Asian Bazaar of Dushanbe, where you can find fresh fruits and vegetables together with other goods. Today you will know closely Tajik people and discover many places of Dushanbe. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe – Norak – Kalai Khum
We will start our trip to Kalai Khum village through Norak water reservoir. Due to its size, it is called as a “Tajik Sea”. Today you will reach 2,267m at highest point, which is Shuraba Pass before the drive of Afghan border. Here it starts legendary Pamir Mountains; you will be charmed by the grandiose and simultaneously beautiful mountains. Even the world’s most famous travelers like Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar were impressed by these majestic mountains. The River Pyanj defines the Tajik- Afghan border naturally. Most of the explorers associated Pamir Mountain with the ocean of blue and white mountains. In order to come observe to the local life you will stay at family homestay.
Day 3: Kalai Khum – Khoburubot – Dushanbe
Today you will travel back to the Dushanbe via beautiful mountain road. It takes you through Khoburubot Pass, reaching 3 252 m. It also known as Western Pamir Tract. On the way, you will see magnificent beauty of mountain rivers and long valleys. You will definitely capture charming moments on your camera. En route, there will be an opportunity to see local people at small villages, and even talk with them. Tajik people are very warm-hearted, hardworking and friendly by the nature. They always respect the traditions and customs of their ancestors. This tour is for the people who like combination of beautiful nature and experience the local culture and history. Stay in a hotel in Dushanbe. End of travel in Tajikistan.

After short but wonderful tour, transfer to airport.
