Currency exchange

Currency exchange

Hello, friends! Today I will tell you where and how you can use the services of a currency exchange during a tour in Kyrgyzstan.
You probably know that the Kyrgyz national currency is the som. Travelling in the country you will get acquainted with a huge number of currency exchange offices. Mostly, a passport is required for currency exchange, but this rule does not apply at some currency exchange offices. You can choose any convenient currency exchange office and exchange any amount of money. Some of them operate around the clock and are located at almost every step. It should be noted that the currency exchange rates are quite different depending on the preference of the exchanger. For example, at the airport, hotels, as well as in rural areas, you will notice low exchange rates due to the distant location to the city. It is also worth considering that in the regions the currency exchange rates are different, but not particularly.
I recommend you be careful and cautious when exchanging currencies in the bazaars, as well as in places of doubt. It is best to exchange money in banks. It is safe and secure. Walking around the city you will see a huge number of ATM that accepts any kind of card, such as Visa, Master card and so on. Having completed this task, you certainly want to use the money.
If you are hungry, you can visit cafes and restaurants or small fast-food points where the cost of one dish starts from $ 0.50 (35 soms) (e.g. samsa) to $ 50 (2,000 soms) depending on your budget. It is also worth noting that Kyrgyzstan has the cleanest and most affordable water, so you will have no problems with water. The price of one 0.5 liter bottle of water costs about $ 0.24 (17 soms) and higher depending on the quality and brand. Speaking of transport, there are buses, trolleybuses where fare costs $ 0.11 (8 soms), plus a discount applies for older people, and free fare for people with disabilities, minibuses – $ 0.14 (10 soms) for older people – $ 0.072 (5 soms), as well as a taxi, where the minimum fare starts from $ 0.57 (40 soms) and higher depending on the route. In addition to your tour, you can rent a car in Kyrgyzstan and enjoy self-drive routes.
