Tour 3: Sandy Tour
Duration: 9 days
In short: Tashkent − Nukus − Khiva − Bukhara − Samarkand − Tashkent

Day 1: Tashkent
On arrival to Tashkent international airport you will be met by the driver and signboard at meeting area. He will transfer to city tour in Tashkent: The day will start by visiting Independence square which is considered to be the main square of the country. It is also placed as a symbol of victory over fascism in World War II. After that you will have the opportunity to walk along the local Broadway. It is a walking street between Independence square and Amir Timur square. Then drive to the famous Tashkent metro that is defined to be the most beautiful subways in the world, opened in 1977. Afterwards visit the old part of the city. It includes Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex. Hast Imam complex has several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. Don’t miss to see the sacred Othman Quran. It is the world’s oldest Quran copy dating back to 8th c. The night is in hotel.

Day 2: Tashkent – Nukus (domestic flight)
The flight to Nukus in the morning. Today you will have a city tour where you can visit the Museum of Savitsky. You will find there the masterpieces of forbidden art. This Museum has 20th century Russian avant-garde paintings, works of Sokolov, Komarovskiy and Amaravella group. The warden of the Karakalpakstan state museum of art collected the artworks in 1960s. It is known that he procured banned works from persecuted soviet artists and some of them were free. He cared too much about them and placed in this remote central Asian art-house. Later we will drive outside of Nukus to see Mizdakhan necropolis. It is important to note that this city was an ancient city before. Some archeologists say that area was unceasingly captured from the 4th century BC till about 14th century AD. In addition you will be able to visit a 2200 years-old Zoroastrian ancient monument known as Chilpyk. Today you will have the night in hotel.

Day 3: Nukus – Khiva
Today you will be transferred to Khiva and have a city tour. Visit the oldest city of Uzbekistan. You can start from inside of Ichan-Qala as well as the inner city in Khiva which is smooth-edged with tough walls. You will find there old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses distorted Ichan-Qala into exclusive city-monument. Talking about Ichan-Qala it has over 400 traditional dwelling houses and about 60 architectural monuments. It is important to note that in 1969 Ichan-Qala was labeled a historical and architectural conservation area. There are wonderful places as the Kunya-Ark fortress found in the 17th century by Muhammad Arang Khan. Moving on we will visit Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace. They are very famous sample of Khorezm architectural mastership of 1830s. Overnight is in a hotel.  

Day 4: Khiva – Bukhara (440 km, 7 hours)
In the morning we will drive to wonderful city of Bukhara. You will find there more than 140 architectural monuments. It is important to note that Bukhara city is a "town museum" found in the middle Ages. It is a very beautiful city of narrow streets, green parks and gardens, historical and architectural monuments of different epochs. Being there you will notice that the road from Khiva to Bukhara goes over famous Kizilkum desert. You can also enjoy the view to Amu Darya river which is the deepest river in Central Asia and formed by the convergence of the Panj and Vakhsh in Tajikistan as well as and flowing into Aral Sea. On arrival in Bukhara, you will have free time and spend the night in hotel.

Day 5: Bukhara
We are glad to impress you by a city tour. You will visit the most ancient citadel in Bukhara dating back to the 4th century named Citadel Ark. Before it was a palace for several dynasties of Bukhara Empire. Visit the Samanids mausoleum which is considered to be masterpiece of architecture of 9th -10th century. The tour will be continued of visiting Chashma Ayub, meaning Job's well and Bolo-Hauz mosque. It is also known as the mosque of forty columns built in honor of Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. It is recommend walking along the shopping domes and visiting one of the most famous madrasahs of Bukhara called Nodir Divan Begi which is also a part of Lyabi House Ensemble. It is the famous central sightseeing of Bukhara. Then you will have the opportunity to visit Poi Kalon complex. It is the great sample of architectural art of Bukhara and has three structures built in the 12th - 16th centuries: Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. This night will be in the hotel.

Day 6: Bukhara – Samarkand (Evening train)
The day will start from sightseeing in the surrounding area of Bukhara. Visit Bahauddin Naqshbandi complex which is located few kilometers from Bukhara. You will be impressed by the memorial complex of famous Sufi Leader and Philosopher. It is important to note that it is one of the Muslim pilgrimage places for all people of Islamic world. Sheikh Bakhauddin Nakshbandi was one of the divine masters of Amir Timur.  The complex consists of mosques of Kushbegi and Muzafarohana, courtyard with pool, madrasah, and burial vault of Bukhara rulers and Dakhma upon the tomb of Saint Bakhauddin Nakshbandi. Then we will drive to see the scenery residence of Bukhara Emirs named Sitorai Mohi Hosa complex. You will find there combination of different architectural styles. The fact is that Emir named the palace for his wife who died young “Star − like and moon − like Palace”. Afterwards you will drive to Sumiton village to find Chor Bakr memorial complex. It is the town of the dead. This special complex represents the four sides of the earth and infers that all people are one and the same. The complex began to be built during the Samanids reign until the 16th century. Then transfer to Samarkand. You will spend the night in hotel. 

Day 7: Samarkand
Today you will have a city tour in Samarkand. This amazing city is situated in the valley of the river Zerafshan and considered to be the second largest city of Uzbekistan as the city of Babylon or Rome. Visit Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. Registan Square which is a wonderful complex of three captivating Madrasahs dating back to 15-17th centuries. In addition it is the main highlight of Samarkand. Talking about Architectural complex of Shakhi-Zindeh, it signifies a large collection of mausoleums dating back to 11th-15 centuries as well as included to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Bibi Khanum Mosque is famous architectural complex built in honor of favorite Tamerlane’s wife, after his prosperous operation in India. The night is in hotel.

Day 8: Samarkand – Tashkent (Evening train)
The tour will be continued in Samarkand city. You will have the chance to visit Ulughbek observatory, built in 15th century by Ulughbek. It is one of the most famous Samarkand rulers and scientists. In 1437 Ulughbek worked in observatory. There was the “Zidji Guragoni” catalog, which had information about 1018 spiritual bodies. Over the time he was killed by order of his own son. Then you can have a walk along the local Broadway surrounded by souvenir shops, teahouses, sweets and workshops. Don’t miss to buy there something. Afterwards you can visit National bazaar Siab, oriental bazaar. Being there you can find Uzbek traditional handmade products and local sweets. There is a carpet factory where over 400 women sew carpets without using traditional techniques. Evening transfer to Tashkent by train. The night will be spent in hotel.

Day 9: Tashkent – Departure
Breakfast. Transfer to Tashkent international airport. Flight for next destination.
