ABOUT ME

Hi, friends!

My name is Cholpon. I grew up in a small town of Naryn in the south-eastern part of Kyrgyzstan. From the early ages my passion was to travel and discover new places. I enjoyed showing around to my friends and teachers who came from abroad to teach English. Further I entered the University to study linguistics but to connect my life with tourism it was not enough. Therefore I went through special courses of guiding by local mentors in Bishkek who run tourist agencies. This is how I got involved into this world of adventures and new experiences.

Therefore I went through special courses of guiding by local mentors in Bishkek who run tourist agencies. This is how I got involved into this world of adventures and new experiences.

It’s been almost ten years since I work as a guide and four years as a tour operator.
My goal is to prepare for you a route according to all your wishes and desires. You can write me number of days and special interests. I will prepare a program that will include all possible things according to the letter you send to me. Then I can book everything or part of services: hotels, transport, guides, restaurants and entertainments. Also we will make small surprises to make your tour special : )

Within this period of time I travelled across not only Kyrgyzstan, my home-country, but also had been to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan

Kazakhstan tours

This travel experience helped me to acquire the knowledge of building logistics and create exclusive and safe programs.

I am well versed in the traditions and culture of the Kyrgyz people. I would like to share my knowledge about them. In Kyrgyzstan, you can visit various festivals or master classes related to the culture of the nomadic people, which have preserved up to date. They can amaze you and be remembered forever.

If you always dreamt about travelling to Central Asia, discover new culture, history and people, then it is time to act and connect me. I will make sure that your travelling is smooth, pleasant and unforgettable! Take your first step to the new world with me and never regret!

Cholpon was my cultural guide for several weeks in Kyrgyzstan. I can honestly say she was one of the best cultural guides I've ever had in my travels around the world to date because she was so incredibly open and honest about the Kyrgyz culture. She didn't just teach me about the history (which she's very very knowledgeable about) but she also taught me about how nomads fit or don't fit into today's society -- she was open in explaining about bride kidnapping (which even happened to a family member of hers) and wedding rituals, religion and education, and topics that many would have shied from. Her family still live with the old traditions which she was happy to share - even when she knew they'd make a foreigner's eyes pop out of their head.
We travelled the silk road, camped, visited historical and cultural sites, we stayed with nomads and laughed after the misadventures that Kyrgyzstan threw our way.

I was on trip around Lake Issyk Kul for 6 days. Cholpon was our english speaking guide and she was great. She gave us a lot of interesting information about the sights we visited and about lifestyle, traditions, culture and religion. She was very open minded and always in a good mood. she was the sunshine of our group. We visited Chon-Kemin, Karakol, Jety Oguz, Kochkor and back to Bishkek. It was a wonderful trip in a beautiful country.

I went on a tour of Kyrgyzstan with several fellow travel agents from Germany and Switserland in June 2010. Cholpon was our English speaking guide and it was one of her first trips with tourists. There also was a German speaking guide who had done many more tours. They were a perfect match.
We traveled arpound for about a week to Cholpon Ata, Lake Ysyk Kol, Karakol, Altyn Arashan, Jeti Oguz, Kochkor and Bishek.
I was impressed by the knowledge about culture and history displayed by Cholpon. She also was a very enthousiastic guide with a very good sense of humor. She already knew the tricks to keep a demanding group interested, even on long driving days. She even recited from Manas for us....
I can say this not only as a tourist but also as a professional in the travel industry with many years of experience.
