Now let’s talk about what you need to travel in Kyrgyzstan!
As you already know that Kyrgyzstan is “the country of Nomads” and famous for its mountains/ It is quite natural that people travel mainly on mountains. In the mountains weather changes very quickly. So you have to be ready for such a gift of nature. You have to keep in mind that in the mountains the temperature is always lower than in the city so you have to dress warmer. You also have to have things like:

• Thermal underwear
• Raincoat
• Tracking sticks
• Comfortable non-sliding and water proof shoes
• Sunglasses
• Sunblock cream
• Hat
• Lip balm
• Toilet paper
• First aid kit with items, general and individual medicines

You must pay attention to what medicine you can take with you to Kyrgyzstan:

• You can’t put medicine into hand luggage.
• You cannot transport pills that cntain narcotic drugs, psychotropic drugs to the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
• If you have confirmation that the transporting drugs are prescribed by a doctor, then you have every right to travel with them with mandatory written declaration at customs and the provision of medical documents for the appointment.

Also, you should not forget that the weather in the mountains will not depend by the weather in the cities. In the mountains you can experience not only the scorching sun but also rainfall. Therefore, it is necessary to take warm clothes. In spring, in summer as well as in autumn, it is better to take jacket, but in winter you indefinitely need warm clothes.

Equipment that you will need for trekking:

• Sleeping equipment
• Spare clothing (for long hikes)
• Sleep and camp clothing
• Insulation for evening / night / morning when the temperature drops
• Equipment for cooking and eating food
• Security and navigation
• Personal hygiene
