These are January 1 – New Year, January 7 – Orthodox Christmas, February 23 – Defenders of Fatherland Day, March 8 – International Women’s Day, March 21 – National Holiday Nooruz, April 7 – April Revolution Day, May 1 – Labor Day, May 5 – Constitution Day, May 9 – Victory Day, August 31 – Independence Day, November 7 – Day of History and Memory, Orozo Eid, Kurban Eid.

Throughout the planet, these holidays are celebrated and days are said to be days off. You will ride through the territory of any part of the world on car rental tours in Kyrgyzstan and note that the latter are observed by people as Muslim religious holidays, the days of which are marked by the Lunar calendar.

March 21 is Nooruz, as locals cook sumelek made from wheat malt, the annual Muslim holiday. August 31 is Independence Day.  Often, most of the holidays go side by side with the juniper being burnt.
